Some morning feel like a gift from God.
The world is quiet, the light is soft, and the day hasn’t asked anything of you yet. In those moments, even something simple- like a warm cup of coffee- can feel sacred.
This was the very first coffee cup I painted. I remember sitting with it for hours, carefully shaping the curves, studying how the light touched the blue ceramic. I spent nearly five hours on the cup alone, wanting it to feel real enough that you could almost reach out and wrap your hands around it.
The heart in the foam was already part of the image I used to reference, but it felt too perfect to leave out. It became a quiet little symbol of joy within the piece. A reminder that happiness often lives in the smallest places. The delicate flowers above the cup followed soon after, like gentle branches reaching in from the edges of the morning, framing the moment with a little bit of grace.
To me, this piece is about those peaceful pauses in life- the moments where you slow down, breathe deeply, and simply exist in God’s presence. A warm drink, a quiet heart, and the beauty of creation all around you.
It’s not just a coffee cup.
It’s a moment of stillness. A moment of gratitude. A moment shared between you and the One who created every peaceful morning.
